States with the most pumpkin farms

New York leads the states with published values, at 1,170 farms harvesting pumpkins.

The ranking uses the latest source table in MoverMath: 2022 Census of Agriculture. This counts farms reporting a pumpkin harvest. It does not identify pick-your-own farms, pumpkin patches, or Halloween events.

What this measures

USDA NASS publishes the state Census of Agriculture total directly. Suppressed state values remain absent rather than being treated as zero.
