Rankings

Every state ordered on every measure. Where a measure has a better end — price, schools, air quality — it is listed once, in that direction. Where it has none — snowfall, temperature, median age — it is listed both ways, since the order describes the states rather than ranking them.

Figures come from the same data as the map. Each ranking names its source and says which places are missing from it. How this is built
