Highest ev charging ports by state

Public EV charging ports.

Charging ports open to the public and currently in service, counted where the station sits. Ports rather than stations: a site with twelve stalls is not the same as twelve sites with one, and the port count is what decides whether you wait. Private fleet depots and workplace-only chargers are excluded because a resident cannot use them. This is a count, not a rate — ports per head would rank a single truck-stop charger in an empty county above Seattle, which is the opposite of useful. A county with none is genuinely without public charging inside its own lines, though somewhere over the county line may be closer than somewhere within it.
