Lowest manufactured homes by state

Share of homes that are manufactured or mobile.

This measure has no better end. The order describes the states, it does not rank them — see the other direction.

Manufactured and mobile homes, plus the small number of boats, RVs and vans the Census counts as housing, as a share of all units. Both behave the same way for financing: conventional mortgages are harder to obtain and appreciation follows different rules. A high share often explains a county median home price that looks impossibly low. From Census table B25024.
